ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is the Diorama Museum with the exposition dedicated to the battles of 1942-1943 of the Second World War, which took place at the Chizhovsky foothold.

GOAL

To build an augmented reality adventure quest to mark the victory anniversary of the Second World War; to engage the target audience (kids and teenagers) into learning and preserving Russian history. The quest comprises several modes: tank battle, cannon shooting, bombardment, historical storylines.

This mode is represented by an augmented reality tank battling game for one or two players. The game mode was chosen for the sake of raising the awareness of the historic place.

CANNON FIRE

This mode allows to participate in the battle shooting with the help of augmented reality. The task is not to miss the enemy tanks and to defend a strategically important position in the battle for Voronezh.

BOMBING

This mode allows to browse the chronology of the aerial bombing campaign against Voronezh. The AR experience starts as soon as the device camera captures the historic photographs of the military events.

The customer was satisfied by the fact that Hall of Fame application users highly appreciated the quest. The initial goal set by the customer was achieved: the target audience was attracted to the event through the use of the cutting-edge augmented reality technologies.
